'Kite' by Bertil Vallien

Designed by Vallien, Bertil in Sweden
Sculpture, 'Kite', glass, designed and made by Bertil Vallien, Sweden, 1989

A heavy, sand-cast glass sculpture in the form of a long, narrow boat, the outside matt-finished walls encapsulate the solid, clear glass interior cut flat at the top. Suspended inside the boat are differently coloured small glass elements, including a human face, trapped at different levels of the cast glass.
