'Tree of Life' costume by Jenny Kee

'Tree of Life' costume designed by Jenny Kee and used in the opening ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. The costume consists of a robe that has been screen-printed and quilted with the 'Archetype' design (an African inspired geometric design). The robe has raffia fringing along the hemline and around the sleeves. Also included in the costume is a cheesecloth turban that has been constructed on a polystyrene base and padded with polyester wadding. The cheesecloth used for the turban has also been printed with the 'Archetype' design.
