The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences acknowledges Australia’s First Nations Peoples as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land and gives respect to the Elders – past and present – and through them to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Single left mens boot or shoe sole possibly of single sole turnshoe construction, unusual for the 17th century, with square toe. Leather of the sole is grain up and features edge grain stitch holes with little shaping at the waist and almost straight. Shows evidence of repairs.
