First hat - Exterior of hat: Owner's name, on brim at centre front, black Dymo label adhered, "H.STENDER", interior of hat: on leather harness, stamped, "N U PLAC", on crown, scratched into surface, "H STENDER 1954"
Second hat - Company name on underside of rim, painted in red, "SMC"
Coat - Manufacturing label sewn inside of pocket "Hebo Reinforced / Tailored by Taft Trading Co", lettering painted on interior of coat "SMA"

Notes

Taft Trading Company is the maker of wet weather coat.
One of the helmets is stamped Nu Plac, the other maker is not recorded.

Notes

Hardhats and wet weather coat issued by the SMA. Worn by the donor during the 1950s while working on the Snowy Mountains scheme.
