'Kukuro' lingerie set by Honey Birdette

Designed
The black satin 'Kukuro' lingerie set by Honey Birdette comes with rose gold bondage clips and chains which attach to fully functional bondage accessories allowing for multiple sexual positions. Honey Birdette is one of Australia's most successful lingerie brands with retail outlets in Australia, the USA and UK. Established in Brisbane in 2006, the founders saw a growing opportunity in the market for luxurious provocative lingerie and luxury sex accessories. This item reflects the significant role sexual pleasure and fantasy play in human health and well-being.

Due to its discretionary nature, the fashion industry was particularly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The lockdown of people in their homes, social distancing and anxiety around jobs and the economy crushed consumer demand for fashion, leading to significant disruption and downturn in the industry. Contrary to this trend Honey Birdette experienced significant growth over the period of the pandemic with the 'Kukuro' bondage set their most popular item at the peak of the pandemic in Australia. This set reflects one aspect of the impact of the COVID-19 lockdown on Australian's; providing more time for sexual play and, in line with social distancing measures, an increased use of sex toys for self-pleasuring.

With bricks and mortar stores closed during the lockdown the high sales of this lingerie set also reflects the pandemic's effect on accelerating consumer behaviour towards online purchasing.
