'DIY Water Saver Kit' by Mania National

The components of this do-it-yourself water saving kit are quick and easy to install in most existing taps. These valves and aerators maintain good pressure but dramatically reduce the amount of water used. They can save around 16,000 litres of water and cut your energy and water bills by up to $250 each year. Saving water at home leaves more water in our waterways to sustain native plants and animals. They are a vital part of natural ecosystems that support us all.

Physical Description

Do-it-yourself (DIY) water saver kit of small parts that can be inserted in taps and pipes to restrict the flow of water. Contains two basin tap aerators, two kitchen tap aerators, shower flow regulators, service key and teflon tape, with paper instructions inside plastic packaging.

The kit is designed to be easy and quick to install on existing tapware to save water. It is recommended for standard showers, hand basin and kitchen taps.



Sourced as part of the Ecologic Kit development in 2006.

In 2006 Sydney Water was offering free Do-it-yourself (DIY) Water Saving Kits to enable householders to make taps and showers in their homes more water efficient. By February 2006, over 18 000 customers had collected their kits from authorised outlets.
