Photographs of James ‘Skeeter’ Kemsley

Made by TCN Channel 9 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1970-1974.

These photographs are significant because they show James Kemsley dressed for the role of ‘Skeeter the paper boy’, host of the afternoon children’s television program ‘Cartoon Corner’, and as himself on the set of another Channel Nine production.

Kemsley first appeared as Skeeter on ‘The Super Flying Fun Show’, which commenced production at TCN-9 in Sydney in October 1969, starring Rod Hull and Marilyn Mayo. It also featured Reg Gorman who, like Hull, was known to audiences from his earlier app...
