STP (Silk & Textile Printers, Sydney & Hobart) launched their ambitious Modernage Fabrics range of artist-designed fabrics in 1946. The artists' artworks were translated into textile designs and printed by staff at STP, Barcom Avenue, Rushcuttters Bay, Sydney. The textiles and paintings were then exhibitied in Sydney and Melbourne during 1947.
