Sheet music catalogue by J Stanley Johnston

J Stanley Johnston was one of Sydney's sheet music retailers during the mid twentieth century. By the 1930s Johnston's were firmly established at their 437 George Street premises and by the 1950s were having success selling a range of musical items including musical instruments, sheet music, radios and records. Physical Description

Catalogue booklet containing lists of available sheet music from J Stanley Johnston Pty Ltd. 144 pages of mainly lists but some advertisements for other products near front and end of catalogue. There are two pages of black and white photos of the J Stanley Johnston shop showing the different departments in the business and giving an overview of the products available. Colour cover with company name at top in gold print on blue ground and a series of illustrations down one side of different situations of music performance.
