Title written on paper envelope with following ‘...with grating. Very good. But wants more exposure HCR’. Strip attached to side of plate ‘The Trifid Nebula in Centre. This plate has reference lines such as will be used in the Photographic Chart of the Heavens. Scale 1 degree=2 1/4 inches’. Scratched into plate ‘Sept 1 1891’.
