Ship model of “Kongsgaard “ Motor Tanker

The master, Leif Moen, and crew of the “Kongsgaard “, after the ship was torpedoed in June 1941 by U-Boat U-564 and set on fire, managed to reboard the ship, douse the fire, and bring the ship to port in Belfast. For this action ,the master and crew were commended by the First Lord of the Admiralty.

Bridge with mast with blue flag with yellow rectangle in centre of flag. Grey funnel aft, with painted on white flag with blue diamond in middle.
