A copper and brass theodolite on a tripod base with splayed legs. On top of the base is a mounted revolving compass with a graduated scale and compass level. A brass telescope is mounted above the compass with a compass level. The theodolite can be pulled apart for storage in a custom made wooden box with a double latched lid and leather strap to carry.
