Colour photograph of the Eta Carinae Nebula made in spite of light pollution in Paul’s backyard in Newcastle. The photograph was taken with a 400 mm f/6.3 telephoto lens piggybacked on a 20 cm equatorially mounted telescope. The exposure was 15 minutes on Fuji Super HG400 film. This photograph was awarded first prize in the colour photography section of the Sydney Astrophoto Competition.
