Made in Australia, 1935-1937.

Pair of cricket boots in beige leather with white finish. Boots reach to ankle with centre front lacing through 8 pairs of lace holes. Low moulded rubber heel and sole on a stacked leather sole. Lined with beige leatherette and leather innersole. White leather loop at top of the back of each boot. Signed inside top of both boots in black ink ‘Don Bradman’. Impressed on each innersole ‘7’.

The boots were given to Cecil Murray before his marriage in 1937 so were probably made around 1935-1937.
1935-1937

History

The boots were given to Les Murray's father Cecil Murray by his mother before he was married in 1937. The family lived in Bunyah on the lower north coast of NSW. Cecil Murray wore these boots while playing for the Bunyah cricket team which was part of the Wallamba Cricket Association.
Given to Cecil Murray by his mother and passed onto his son Les Murray.
