Electric guitar with carry case and accessories, used by the performer Ed Kuepper, in his solo career and in bands such as the Saints and The Laughing Clowns.
All aluminium electric 6 string guitar, machined out of 2 solid pieces of aluminium screwed together to form the front and back of the guitar. The neck and headstock are also made from single piece of aluminium which is bolted onto the body. The body has a highly polished finish whilst the neck and head are semi-matt, and the bridge and tail pieces are black anodized. The headstock is cut away in shape of a stylised "V" for "Veleno". Features: two humbucking pickups with tone and volume knobs for each, three way pickup selector switch and pickup phase switch. Manufacturing information is engraved in to the back of the headstock: "Veleno Instrument Co".
Carry case, elongated triangular shape of brown vinyl covered wood, with black leather handle, metal locks and fittings, lined with green velvet. On the outside of the case is a handmade label, consisting of a piece of masking tape with the words: "Chromo Valeno" written in black ink.
Other parts are one red plastic plectrum, 4 rheostats, and one socket.Marks
Manufacturer's information engraved on the back of the headstock: "VELENO INSTRUMENT CO,/ 8122. [ISWAY N]/ ST PETERSURG, FLA, 33072/ PAT PEND." Manufacturing information stamped on the back of each tuning peg: "Made in W. GERMANY." Handmade identification label on outside of carry case, handwritten in black felt-tipped pen on masking tape; "Chromo Valeno".
